An Awesome Sword-fighter

Well, someone was missing the Long-haired Hiccup (that sounds like a type of cat) and, of course, that made me miss the Long-haired Hiccup, so I had to doodle him.

However, I have also been watching Game of Thrones and am on the third book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series so I've had some hardcore, medieval, longhaired men on the mind...pose and outfit are influenced by that.

In the books Hiccup is handy-dandy with a sword - particularly when he's fighting with his left hand. Since they had him left-handed in the movie we could be seeing him with a sword in later films.

He's older, naturally, so of course now I'm looking at this and debating facial hair...
