Sadly, I don't think my activity on here will increase anytime soon. I just wanted to touch base and let you all know it's appreciated. These days my fandom activity is mostly on tumblr, where I doodle or write or rant. I or kickin' it offline... working, writing, catting. Mostly catting.
I also have a new fic in the works: Leið. A gritty deviation from the first movie centered on Astrid and her struggle to survive in the wake of the Red Death's... Death. It's... not for weak stomachs, I've been told.

H--ack--hello all! Its been a while since I made one of these, hasn't it? First and formost: thank you all who left birthday wishes! I'm barely on here but I really, really appreciate that I got any at all, let alone so many! Man, I'm a piece of shit.
As for this journal: the Hidden World was a whoooole lot to unpack. I, personally, had a very muted response when I first saw it... and one of the main reasons being the asinine decision to spread the release dates over months. Most of us went in, unfortunately, with preconceived notions because spoilers are hella hard to avoid.

Where I've been I'll cover in a later journal entry, but for now I have a couple HTTYD-fandom things to cover.
First and foremost THANK YOU, all of you, who participated in the HTTYD-fanarts March Madness 2013. I a year late, I know, but I won. Like… the whole shebang. You guys are both incredible and insane for voting me to the top. I am like an old fart in this fandom now and I don't know why I won this time, but I did. Except I don't. Because the last 12 hours can only be told to me and not by me.
My day started as any other St. Patty's Sunday. A quick workout, a nice Irish coffee in the morning, and the heinous drive into Boston where all the streets were closed and we had to use our wits and madness to find a place to park.
Then the real drinking started. We went out to enjoy the parade with our coffee mugs, just like everyone else had their coffee mugs. So it was basically a lot of joyful tomfoolery and drinking and someone brought out the Irish whiskey shots and I hadn't eaten anything and... well, kids let this be a lesson to you
